Abtin holds a bachelor’s degree in Cellular and Molecular Biology from Azad University. He holds a master’s degree in biotechnology from Georgetown University where he received the Biomedical Graduate Scholarship. Abtin performed his Ph.D. in bioinformatics in an inter-university program, including the University of Barcelona.
