Ramin, has 12 years of diverse experience in the investment industry including private equity buy-side investing, investment banking, and structured finance. Prior to Back Bay, Ramin worked for GCC Sovereign Wealth Funds and private equity firms including Oman and Brunei sovereign wealth fund (OBIC) and Waha Capital in Abu Dhabi, UAE.
Ramin was the Investment Manager responsible for private equity investments including acquisition and subsequent restructuring of Renna Mobile where a telecom company on the brink of bankruptcy successfully turned into a leading market player. Ramin was also the leading force behind creation of Oman Brunei Asset Management, Oman’s first aircraft leasing and finance company; and Oman Aircraft Leasing Fund, a $200 million closed-end fund. Ramin was also involved in a number of landmark private equity investments at Waha Capital including AerVenture, Addax Bank, and AerCap. He also worked on a number of asset-backed structured finance investments including Project Blue II, a structured finance loan to NWA-Delta and Singapore Airline, sale-back of subordinate loans to Etihad Airways and a number of operating and finance leases to international airlines.
Ramin has a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics from Sharif University and a Post Graduate degree in Financial Engineering. Ramin is also a CFA charterholder and a member of CFA Institute.
